COURSE OVERVIEW

WHAT THIS COURSE COVERS.

This qualification prepares learners to plan, coordinate and produce audio-visual content for film, television, digital platforms, social media, advertising and related creative industries.

Learners develop an understanding of the full production process: interpreting a brief, researching and developing an idea, preparing proposals, planning resources and budgets, coordinating production, working with camera, lighting and sound, and completing content for presentation or distribution.

The programme combines production knowledge with practical work and workplace experience. It is suited to new entrants as well as people already working in audio-visual content production who want to formalise and expand their skills.

AT A GLANCE

Choose the format that fits your situation.

Choose between face-to-face classes at the available campus or structured online learning.

Face-to-face learners attend scheduled classes and practical production sessions using the facilities and equipment required for the programme.

Online learners attend virtual learning activities and receive access to digital learning materials and facilitator support. Practical activities, workplace experience and assessment requirements still form part of the qualification and must be completed according to the approved delivery plan.
